Automatic tying machine for orchards
A new model of tying machine is now available from Infaco, the company behind the popular Electrocoup range of electronic pruning shears.
The fast, reliable AT1000 tying machine speeds up the labour-intensive job of tying vines and tree branches to supporting structures in pipfruit and kiwifruit orchards and vineyards.
Aidan Fredericksen, Agritrade Territory Manager, says the Infaco team has developed a high-performance tying machine based on the tradition of their world-leading pruning shears.
“The ergonomic grip is identical to that of the Electrocoup F3020. Unlike their earlier tying machine, the A3M, the new AT1000 is 100 percent automatic. People using the AT1000 will find it easy and fast to use, with its wide spout opening and high-capacity reel that’s quick to refill.
“For those focused on viticulture, the AT1000 accommodates the various types of ties utilised in various vineyards such as single or double Guyot, arcure, chablis and trellising.”
AT1000 tying machine features:
- The removable and interchangeable 10.8 V battery delivers approx. 8,000 ties on a single charge. Three hours for full charge, one hour for half charge.
- Easy set-up, simply place the tie reel in the dispenser, feed the wire into the machine and pull the trigger to prime it. It's ready to use.
- A single reel contains at least 3,000 ties (400 m). A spare reel can be stored in the belt pouch.
- Choose the number of tie twists from one to four, easily set on the machine's display screen. The number of twists defines knot strength and should be selected based on your orchard or vineyard’s weather conditions, wood types and pruning techniques.
