Introducing the PGG Wrightson Murchison store team
A dedicated bunch of people is how Jo Brooks, PGG Wrightson Murchison Store Manager, describes her team.
The Murchison store services dairy, deer and sheep and beef farmers along with lifestylers. Visit in-store and you’ll be greeted by Customer Service Representatives, Marianne and Amber. Out in-the-field is Technical Field Representative, Mark.
Having worked at PGG Wrightson for 17 years, just Jo alone has plenty of knowledge and experience to share with customers. With a good mix of long-serving members and fresh faces, the Murchison team value the relationships they have formed with their customers and work hard to provide sound advice and product recommendations that help customers achieve their goals.
“Some of our customers are third-generation families. Myself and Amber have lived here since childhood so we know most of the people who visit in-store. I went to school with some of our customers and now their children are customers having taken over the family farm,” says Jo.
With visitors, according to Jo, more like family and friends than customers, the Murchison team is motivated to provide the best service possible and create an enjoyable store experience. “We understand the importance of building a rapport with all our customers as well as providing an experience where they leave knowing they have everything they need. It’s about asking the right questions so we can provide a tailored solution.”
The team’s desire to go the extra mile for their customers extends into their thirst for knowledge as Jo explains. “What really impresses me about PGG Wrightson is the support we have available including from our own Technical Team. If a customer has a question we can’t answer straight away, we simply contact our Technical Team who’ll help.”
“We have lots of training opportunities available to us too,” says Jo. “By acquiring technical know-how, our team is more confident when discussing products with our customers, which in turn, allows us to develop stronger relationships as farmers trust our recommendations.”
PGG Wrightson has a strong presence in the area, with the store sponsoring the Murchison Netball Club, Valley Stags and Murchison Rugby Club. As well, Jo says she is often asked for contributions by local schools and community groups when they are fundraising and she does her best to accommodate and support the community, where possible.
Jo encourages anyone living in Murchison and the surrounding areas to visit the store and enjoy the friendly experience, where she knows you’ll benefit from the team’s technical and local knowledge.
