Introducing the PGG Wrightson Te Kuiti store team

A dedicated bunch of people, each with a genuine desire to go the extra mile for customers, is how Carlos Cressy, PGG Wrightson Te Kuiti Store Manager, describes his team.

The store services dairy and sheep and beef farmers, along with lifestylers. Visit in-store and you’ll be greeted by Customer Service Representatives, Raezel, Beth, Aleshia and Morgan. Out in-the-field is Technical Field Representative, Russell.

With a good mix of long-serving members and fresh faces, the Te Kuiti team value the relationships they have formed with customers.

“For me, it’s important to get on-farm and connect with our customers. I visit one to two customers a week to touch base and check they have everything they need and ensure we’re doing all we can to help their business,” says Carlos.

“Relationships form the backbone of our business. We have strong ties to the Te Kuiti and surrounding communities and look to support those within it wherever we can,” says Carlos. “This year the Marokopa community experienced a major weather event so we donated vouchers to the Marokopa Flood Relief Fund to assist farmers with, for example, repairing fences and replacing troughs. It is important to us to help farmers get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”

Visit the Te Kuiti store and you’ll be greeted by the team whose technical knowledge allows them to tailor solutions to fit a customer’s needs. “Recently, we had someone visit the store who
had just purchased 75 acres of farmland. He was wanting to install electric fencing throughout the property and wasn’t sure how to go about it. To assist him, Raezel gained an understanding of what he was trying to achieve and how many kilometres needed to be electrified. She then took him through the process and sought the advice of our Datamars representative so we could formulate the best solution. The result was the entire property was fully fenced and the person is now a regular customer of ours having been impressed and appreciative of the service he’d received.”

The Te Kuiti team work hard to provide sound advice and product recommendations that help customers achieve their goals. “Each member of the team is a store champion in a category. This means while the team have a good knowledge across the entire range, each member specialises in a category. The team love being asked questions and take pride in the service they deliver,” says Carlos.

“We want our customers leaving the store feeling confident they can do the job at hand.”

Carlos encourages anyone living in and around Te Kuiti to visit the PGG Wrightson store and enjoy the friendly in-store experience and benefit from the team’s technical and local knowledge.
