On Board for Pinot Noir New Zealand 2025

On board for Pinot Noir New Zealand 2025

The first Pinot Noir New Zealand event took place in 2001 and Fruitfed Supplies was right there, amongst the action, celebrating the most widely planted red grape variety in the country.

After the covid pandemic interrupted plans for the event to take place over the past few years, organisers have now confirmed the next edition of this global celebration of New Zealand Pinot Noir will take place in Christchurch from 11 to 13 February next year.

More than 100 of New Zealand’s top Pinot Noir producers, representing eight different regions, will have the opportunity to showcase their wines to up to 600 wine enthusiasts, industry participants and media from around the world.

“We know New Zealand Pinot Noir is highly regarded at home and internationally, each one telling its own, distinctive story of Aotearoa New Zealand,” says Duncan Fletcher, Fruitfed Supplies National Manager.

“Across the country, the Fruitfed Supplies team works with a wide variety of Pinot Noir producers. We enjoy being part of this event, helping to showcase New Zealand Pinot Noir to the world and demonstrating our support of our customers and their global wine businesses. Our staff enjoy the opportunity to be inspired by the fantastic line-up of speakers and get in alongside their growers to show the international visitors some authentic Kiwi hospitality.”

Pinot Noir 2025 runs for three days across multiple Christchurch venues and features robust discussion, formal and information tastings of more than 300 Pinot Noirs and regional sessions to showcase New Zealand’s distinctive Pinot growing regions.

The culinary programme features some of New Zealand’s best-known chefs and is designed to complement the event’s central theme of whanaungatanga to emphasise kinship and a sense of family connection.

Tickets went on sale early in June. Michael Henley MW, PNNZ 2025 Chair says: “We have some amazing speakers lined up and are looking forward to hosting influential trade and media from our key export markets This is the chance for experts from around the world to experience New Zealand’s phenomenal Pinot Noir at the incredible Te Pae conference centre. For anyone engaged in the global wine scene, it is an opportunity not to be missed.”
