Tips to get the best start

Our local team is ready to discuss your weed control requirements this spring. We’ll assist you with technical advice and recommendations.

To get started, consider these helpful tips:

  • Pre-emergent herbicides work best where large clods are at a minimum as they can break open with weathering, releasing weed seeds that will not be controlled by the herbicide.
  • It is important to thoroughly clean out your spray tank when going from one crop to a different crop. Crops such as fodder beet and brassicas are very sensitive to sulfonylurea herbicides and so using All Clear 2X to clean your tank before spraying helps to ensure crop safety. Using straight water or dairy chemicals does not clean the pipes and tank enough to remove all herbicide residue.
