Introducing the PGG Wrightson Cambridge store team
A dedicated bunch of people is how Aimee Henderson, PGG Wrightson Cambridge Store Manager, describes her team.
The Cambridge store services dairy, sheep and beef farmers, sheep milking farms, calf rearers, horticultural growers and equine customers. Visit in-store and you’ll be greeted by Customer Service Representatives Julie, Carl, Craig, Holly and Shane. Out in-the-field is Technical Field Representative, Simon and Technical Horticultural Representative, Grant.
With some of the longest-serving PGG Wrightson team members in Waikato, the Cambridge team has plenty of knowledge and experience to share with customers. Combined, Julie and Carl have 62 years of experience working in-store.
“We have a loyal customer base,” says Aimee. “Both Carl and Julie, for instance, are now working with the second generation of families in the area, who have grown from children to now be operating the biggest dairy farms in the region.”
With a good mix of long-serving members and fresh faces, the Cambridge team value the relationships they have formed with their customers and work hard to provide sound advice and product recommendations that help customers achieve their goals.
Creating an enjoyable store experience begins with a happy team and Aimee says the culture at PGG Wrightson and team environment created by the Cambridge team is something she is proud of, with the team going above and beyond for their customers every day. Visit the Cambridge store and be greeted by one of the team who understands that asking the right questions makes a big difference when tailoring a solution to a customer’s needs.
“Recently, horse owners came in-store looking for advice on feed. We discussed the options available having asked about their horses and what they were trying to achieve. The customers were so grateful for our help. It gave us a great sense of satisfaction knowing we had benefited their business.”
Aimee says she is constantly impressed by the training available to the store teams. She says the investment by PGG Wrightson to boost the team’s technical knowledge allows them to provide up-to-date technical advice and product recommendations. “By acquiring technical know-how, our team is more confident when discussing products with our customers, which in turn, allows us to develop stronger relationships as farmers trust our recommendations,” says Aimee.
It’s not just in-store that you’ll find the team. “While I’m a member of the Matamata/Tirau dog trialling community, Julie is involved in lamb and calf club days and cricket-loving Simon maintains the local grounds,” explains Aimee.
Combine the team’s technical and local knowledge, strong customer relationships and community involvement and Aimee says this is why she believes the PGG Wrightson store is an integral part of Cambridge.
