Introducing the PGG Wrightson Outram store team

At the helm of the Outram PGG Wrightson store for the past eight years has been Angela Couper. She leads a dedicated team who go above and beyond for their customers every day.

The Outram store services dairy, sheep and beef farmers, poultry producers and equine customers. Visit in-store and be greeted by Customer Service Representatives, Richard and Phoebe, while out in-the-field is Technical Field Representative, Luke.

With a good mix of long-serving members and fresh faces, the Outram team value the relationships they have formed with their customers and work hard to provide sound advice and product recommendations that help customers achieve their goals.

“Relationships form the backbone of our business,” Angela explains. “We have years of rapport with our customers and enjoy a good local following. When customers come in-store, we always welcome them and get an understanding of the task the customer is looking to complete. We’re not afraid to ask questions, and by doing so, we ensure we present our customers with the right solution. It may be that it is a challenge on-farm that Luke can help with.”

“Often, our customers have formed relationships with both Luke and the in-store team and will pick up the phone and contact one of us for help. Having multiple contacts allows us to deliver a great service and helps build trust, as the customer knows more than one person has a good understanding of their business.”

PGG Wrightson has a strong presence in the area, with the store sponsoring the local crop competition and Taieri rugby clubs.

You’ll find the team in the local community as well, says Angela. “Luke plays rugby and Phoebe is a member of the local hunting club. Richard has lived locally for 18 years, starting as a sharemilker for various farms around the area.”

Coming down the hill, the PGG Wrightson store is easy to find. “We’re the first store before you reach the main road. Luke is up the hill twice a week visiting customers on-farm and completing deliveries. We give 110 percent to our customers and a part of this commitment is helping plan for the season ahead to ensure we have product when it is needed.”

Angela encourages anyone living in and around Outram to visit the PGG Wrightson store and enjoy the friendly in-store experience and benefit from the team’s technical and local knowledge.
