As a tetraploid, Feast II Italian ryegrass offers improved palatability. It can be used as a specialist crop or as silage. Feast II can also be undersown annually into existing pasture providing extra winter growth as forage.
In regions with summer moist conditions and low insect pressure, Feast II Italian ryegrass can persist for two to three years. Feast II is suited to rotational grazing, and to provide the most persistence, avoid hard grazing over summer. Most commonly Feast II is used to increase winter and spring pasture production. Contact your local PGG Wrightson store or Technical Field Representative for further information and availability.
